“They are the music that this world needs.” Wigmore Hall debut
Trio Bohémo is a Czech piano trio comprised of Jan Vojtek (piano), Matouš Pěruška (violin) and Kristina Vocetková (cello). Formed in 2019, the ensemble quickly garnered attention for its deep musicality and captivating performances. Shortly after its inception, the trio was selected to join the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) from 2020 to 2022, where they studied under renowned mentors such as Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt and Avedis Kouyoumdjian.
Their rapid rise in the classical music world includes winning the Parkhouse Award in 2021 and securing first prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna in 2023.
In 2024, they released their highly anticipated debut album, which received glowing five-star reviews from BBC Music Magazine ("heart-breakingly beautiful") and Classica, and was chosen as the Guardian's Classical Album of the Week.
Trio Bohémo has performed at leading international venues including Wigmore Hall, Stoller Hall and the Rudolfinum and has appeared at major festivals such as Prague Spring, Aldeburgh, and Festival van Vlaanderen, Gent. Their recent tours have taken them across the United States and Australia, further solidifying their reputation.
Thanks to the generous support of Dr. Jan Telenský, Matouš plays on an impeccable copy of the Antonio Stradivari 'Willemotte' violin made by Florian Leonhard and on a unique violin by Matteo Goffriller.
Kristina plays a beautiful cello by Fausto Maria Bertucci.
