The Carice Singers is one of the finest professional choirs currently emerging in the UK, with a “beauty of tone” and “musicality” that “few can match” (Gramophone Magazine). Named after Sir Edward Elgar’s daughter and led by their Founder and Conductor George Parris, the choir is committed to bringing a passionate and imaginative approach to a wide range of remarkable choral music, specialising in the works of British composers.
Now entering its sixth year, The Carice Singers has given well over thirty performances in some striking venues across the British Isles, ranging from intimate country churches to more high-profile Metropolitan locations. Their three discs of British choral music for Naxos have gained considerable critical acclaim for their “captivating interpretations” (Choir & Organ Magazine) and “beautifully blended tone” (The Guardian) as well as for their championing of lesser-known works.
