Welcome to Witney Music Society
Each year Witney Music Society organises a winter programme of six live classical music concerts on the second Friday of each month from October to March. Exceptionally, the opening concert in our 2014/2015 season will be on the first Friday,3rd October.
The concerts are held at either Wood Green
School or Witney Methodist Church, both venues offering easy access and a
welcoming environment. The relatively small size of the venues means that
the audience is close to the performers, so the experience is very vivid and
the sound first class.
Concerts start at 7.30pm, and finish at about 9.30 to 10pm.

Witney Town Council
Witney Music Society is appreciative of the financial support and encouragement which it receives from West Oxfordshire District Council, Witney Town Council, from the advertisers in our brochure and for individual concerts, from Making Music, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust and The Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition. This, together with a flourishing membership, enables us to offer performances of a very high standard.
The Society has over the years also received grants from the Witney Educational Foundation, which allow us to arrange concerts for schools within the Witney area.
